Tom Mehney has been inducted into the AEA Hall of Fame.
tom mehneyTom and Patterson Ice Center opened their doors to the Silver Puck Challenge in 2005. The opportunity given to the SPC has lead to one of the largest most popular adult "beer league" tournaments in the state of Michigan. In 2005 the Silver Puck Challenge started with only twelve (12) teams. As of 2021, the Silver Puck Challenge now includes over 60 teams and four (4) weekends of tournament play.
In 2020, Patterson Ice Center hosted their first Hockey Hold'em tournament. Since the weekend went so well the AEA has officially moved the event to Patterson Ice Center. Now, Patterson Ice Center is the Official Home of the Hockey Hold'em.
Tom has never been in attendance for any of the tournament weekends. We all know the reasons why. ;)

The AEA has been bringing adult "beer league" hockey tournaments to west Michigan for over 20 years. Hockey Hold'em is a one of kind adult "gambling" hockey tournament played with drafted teams of all different skill levels, ages and genders. If you want to be champion at Hockey Hold'em you're going to have to "Gamble Your Way to the Top!" [MORE INFO]
Dekes & Dangle Pond Hockey Invitational is currently the only pond hockey tournament being played in west Michigan. Dekes & Dangles is "Pond Hockey for only the Strong. The facility includes heated cabins, a chilling system and a lights for night time play. [MORE INFO]
