Zach Feldt has been inducted into the AEA Hall of Fame
Zach FeldtZach has been associated with the AEA since 2005. We first met him at our first Silver Puck Challenge tournament in 2005. He was at that point a zamboni driver for Patterson Ice Center. As the year's went on Zach would move up in the organization and become the rink manager until the summer of 2023. Zach's first playing experience at the Silver Puck Challenge would take place a few years after meeting; and he would be on a house team, in the A Bracket (Fredonia Cup) and would be forced to play against some of the highest level of players ever at the Silver Puck Challenge. From there he would be added to a number of rosters that would contend for championships year after year.
He won his first AEA title in 2011 at SPCVII in the Jonkman Cup (B) with a 5-4 win over San Marcos. Zach would claim his second AEA championship at SPCIX (2013) while playing with VanDam in the Rooster Cup (CCOED). This game would be one of the most epic Rooster Cup (CCOED) finals in Silver Puck Challenge history. VanDam would be down a male player (Neil Roelofs) due to not waking up on time for the game; another male player (Adam Copeland) would spend the majority of the game in the sin bin. Out manned and out gunned; VanDam would claw their way into overtime. Zach would play solid defense and lock out Jabackass while the ladies of VanDam would deliver a solid performance and bring home the first of three (3) Rooster Cup (CCOED) titles home for VanDam. SPCIX (2013) 5-4 OT over Jabackass, SPCXI (2015) 2-1 over BLB and SPCXIII (2017) once again over Jabackass (3-1). In 2019 at Silver Puck Challenge XV, Zach would join team SPC in the VanValkenburg Cup (B+). The championship would be a one side route over the typically solid contenders Red, White & Brew (6-2).
The AEA would introduce a couple of new tournaments to the circuit; Hockey Hold'em (2015) and Dekes & Dangles (2016). Zach would be one of the first D&D champions crowned at the inaugural pond hockey tournament. VanDam would win the COED Bracket with an 11-7 win over the Wild Cards.
Zach would only have one more title to claim to become an AEA All Around Champion. During the summer of 2020 at Hockey Hold'em VI he would go the distance and "Gamble His Way to the Top" and be crowned a Kegger Cup champion with a 3-2 OT win. This title would give Zach the right to call himself an AEA All Around Champion.
The AEA officially brings high quality, affordable jerseys back to west Michigan. Jerseys starting at $35/each.
