Dan 'Danimal' Collins has been inducted into the AEA Hall of Fame.
Dan was inducted on June 1st, 2018, and he has been part of the Silver Puck Challenge ever since the beginning. Known for his aggressive play he quickly had a target on his back from both teams and the commissioner himself. Dan doesn't know how to quit and that competitiveness is the one thing you want from a teammate. Dan joined us all in 2005 at SPCI as part of U.P., a team primarily made up of guys from the Upper Peninsula. U.P. would fall short to Fredonia in their SPC debut. Dan would make a return in 2006 at SPCII. Where he would be part of Team Real Diehl and make it to the finals in two consecutive years. Team Real Diehl would take on and defeat Competitive Edge in one of the most exciting A Bracket games in SPC history. It was an exciting 5-4 overtime thriller and the first OT game in SPC history. Dan officially claimed his first AEA championship with the win. The following year at SPCIII (2007), Team Real Diehl would have a name change to Endurance Fitness, but the results would be the same as the previous year. This championship was redemption for Dan and Endurance Fitness from SPCI, it was a SPC Sunday Championship rematch with/against Fredonia from 2005. This time it would Endurance Fitness with the victory and "Danimal" with his second piece of AEA hardware. Championships would elude Dan until 2012, but there were plenty of opportunities to cash in on the chances. Dan would make it to the A Bracket finals five (5) times from 2005 to 2012. 2012 at SPCVIII, Dan's team would decide in favor of a a name change . . . and this time it would be Walker Ice & Fitness (WIFC). WIFC would meet up with SPC foes Competitive Edge from whom they played and lost to at SPCVII. This story would be written differently with Endurance Fitness winning another OT, defense-fest, 2-1. Dan lifted his third title above his head and became justifiable one of the elite champions at the SPC.The A Bracket would struggle to get teams, but Dan would find the B+ and JEMC (30+) brackets to his liking. At SPCX (2014) with WIFC, he would once again polish another cup for the trophy wall with a win over RVO. The following year (SPCXI, 2015), with the Bandits (seriously, pick a name already) Dan would lay claim to his fifth SPC title and boldly leave his mark in the AEA tournament arena for everyone to see. Dan has played in eight (8) SPC championship games since 2005 . . . and we're still counting. Dan tied with Adam Copeland with votes, thus they entered the AEA Hall of Fame together. Dan was inducted in his second year of eligibility. (29.00% of the Votes)
