Brent Belanger has been inducted into the AEA Hall of Fame.
Brent is the creator of the AEA, the Silver Puck Challenge, Hockey Hold'em and Dekes & Dangles hockey tournaments. Originally a foot fairy, he joined the ice hockey world in 2000. Missing out on his first shot at an SPC title in 2011 with a torn ACL, he worked hard to get his skates under himself again. Brent hoisted his first SPC cup at Silver Puck Challenge IX in 2013 as a member of the Kentwood alumni team. Their win was one of the most dramatic wins in SPC history, an overtime/shootout thriller against the power house boys of DU (with players of their National Champion teams; 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011). The following weekend he would win again in the Rooster Cup (CCOED) bracket with the men and women of VanDam. He officially became the first player to win back-to-back weekends at the Silver Puck Challenge. In 2014 he was part of the back-to-back championship team (SPC) that successfully defended their VanValkenburg Cup (B+) title against Speaker City (5-2). In 2017 at Hockey Hold'em III, Brent would win the Kegger Cup. He would now hold two pieces of the three for the right to call himself an AEA All Around Champion.
